Seminar for educators, early years teachers & child-education professionals

A comprehensive experiential workshop for a creative, collaborative and inclusive classroom
The creative team Spithes, in collaboration with specialised psychologists and the Gamified Special Teaching (GST) team, presents an innovative experiential seminar for educators and early years teachers, combining Creative Writing, Drama and Theatre Games, Emotional Empowerment, Gamification and Game-Based Learning.
The aim of the seminar is to provide participants not only with theoretical knowledge, but, above all, with practical tools that can be used immediately in the classroom, encouraging children’s participation, creativity, collaboration, emotional expression and group cohesion.
At the same time, the programme focuses on the educator themselves: supporting their personal empowerment, developing resilience, improving communication and building stronger bonds of trust among members of the educational team.
Art, Storytelling and Play Become Tools for Learning
Through experiential activities in creative writing, storytelling, drama and creative play, participants discover ways to create a safe space for expression in the classroom—one where every child can participate, communicate, collaborate and express their ideas and emotions.
Creative writing is used as a tool for:
- emotional expression and empowerment,
- developing imagination and creativity,
- fostering communication and collaboration,
- strengthening bonds and trust within the group,
- managing children and groups through imaginative activities,
- creating a positive and collaborative classroom environment.
Through hands-on activities, educators gain practical approaches for managing everyday classroom situations, as well as ideas they can adapt to the needs of their own group.
Empowering the Educator, Empowering the Classroom
An educator who feels creative, secure and empowered is better equipped to inspire and support their students.
In collaboration with specialised psychologists, the seminar includes experiential activities that support:
- resilience and emotional wellbeing,
- personal development,
- communication and collaboration,
- cohesion within the educational team,
- trust among staff members,
- creative approaches to everyday challenges,
- team spirit and bonding.
The activities go beyond the format of a traditional theoretical seminar. Participants are invited to experience the process themselves: to collaborate, create, play, express themselves and discover techniques that they can subsequently bring into their own classrooms.
From Creativity to Gamified Learning
In collaboration with the Gamified Special Teaching (GST) team, participants are introduced to the principles of Gamification and Game-Based Learning, discovering how play can become a powerful educational tool.
Through practical applications and collaborative activities, participants explore ways to design and use gamified learning experiences that can enhance:
- active participation,
- motivation to learn,
- creativity,
- collaboration,
- interaction,
- deeper understanding of the learning material.
The proposed practices incorporate multiple ways of engaging, participating and expressing oneself and can be adapted to both mainstream and special education, supporting a contemporary and inclusive approach to teaching and learning.
