Creative writing seminar
An exciting journey through imagination, inspiration, creativity, writing, play and improvisation. Creative writing and theatrical education complement each other and enable all children to unfold their talents and skills. Children are taught:
- Word games
- Speech exercises
- Playing with the 5 senses (children discover the infinite possibilities of creative writing through smell, touch, sight, hearing and taste)
- Theatrical improvisation through play and movement
- Composition and writing of a fairy tale illustrated by themselves
The children’s works are printed by the Theocharakis Foundation, creating a mini children’s edition as a result of their first attempt at writing! The program is ideal for children with learning disabilities (ADHD, Dyslexia). With the Sparks creative team.
Detailed program:
Getting to know each other with improvisation and theatrical play activities.
Creative writing principles: An introduction to the world of creative writing though discussion and watching audiovisual media.
Introduction to writing with appropriate activities.
Development of writing skills through the five senses: activities that develop children’s kinesthetic abilities and highlight their imagination and expression skills in writing.
Character analysis and presentation of other classic characters of the Greek and foreign children’s literature.
Composition and creation of the individual characters of the children.
Creation of a map (creation-explanation-comments) that will serve as a starting point to properly structure a successful story.
Exercises with theatrical game-improvisation.
Completion and illustration of each story. At this point, children use their creative imagination and express themselves freely.
Conversion of the material into digital form and creation of an e-book by the foundation.
